Description

These Blueberry Yogurt Paw Treats are a healthy and delicious homemade snack perfect for your furry friend. Made with simple, dog-safe ingredients like plain Greek yogurt and fresh blueberries, these paw-shaped treats combine nutrition and taste without any artificial additives. Easy to prepare with no cooking required, they are an ideal refreshing treat during warm days or a wholesome reward any time.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened, no artificial sweeteners)
  • 1/2 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional, can be omitted for dogs with sugar concerns)
  • 1/4 cup water (for thinning, if necessary)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for added healthy fat)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Rinse fresh blueberries under cold water or thaw frozen blueberries. Measure out plain Greek yogurt, honey, coconut oil, and water.
  2. Blend the mixture: Add the Greek yogurt, blueberries, honey, and coconut oil to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, gradually add water to achieve a pourable consistency suitable for molding.
  3. Fill the paw molds: Pour the blended mixture evenly into paw-shaped silicone molds or any preferred mold, filling each cavity to the top.
  4. Freeze the treats: Place the molds in the freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours or until the treats are fully solidified.
  5. Serve and store: Once frozen, pop the treats out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the freezer. Serve to your dog as a cool, nutritious snack whenever desired.

Notes

  • Honey is optional and should be omitted for dogs with diabetes or sugar sensitivities.
  • Use plain Greek yogurt without sweeteners or artificial ingredients to ensure dog safety.
  • Blueberries are safe and healthy for dogs in moderation but avoid any other fruit mixes that may contain toxic ingredients.
  • Coconut oil adds healthy fats and can benefit coat and skin health but is optional.
  • Always introduce new treats slowly to monitor for any adverse reactions.
  • These treats are not a meal replacement but a supplement to a balanced diet.
