Description
These Christmas Sugar Cookie Truffles combine the classic flavors of sugar cookies and creamy white chocolate into bite-sized festive treats. Perfect for holiday parties or gifting, these no-bake truffles are easy to prepare, rich, and adorned with sprinkles for a colorful finish.
Ingredients
Scale
Cookies and Dough
- 12 sugar cookies (about 2 1/2 inches in diameter)
- 4 tablespoons cream cheese (softened)
- 1 teaspoon milk (optional, if dough is too dry)
Coating and Decoration
- 2 cups white chocolate melting wafers
- Sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Crush the Cookies: In a food processor, pulse the sugar cookies until fine crumbs form. Alternatively, crush them inside a ziplock bag using a rolling pin to get a crumbly texture.
- Form the Dough: Add the softened cream cheese to the cookie crumbs and pulse again until a cohesive dough forms. If the mixture is too dry, incorporate a teaspoon of milk to achieve the right consistency.
- Shape the Truffles: Using a cookie scoop, form the dough into 1-inch balls. Arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 15 minutes to firm up.
- Dip in White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate wafers carefully. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork, ensuring it is fully coated. Place them back on the baking sheet and immediately add sprinkles before the coating sets.
- Set and Store: Allow the truffles to set completely at room temperature or in the fridge. Store the finished truffles in the refrigerator for up to one week, or freeze them for longer storage. Enjoy your festive treat!
Notes
- You can substitute sugar cookies with other flavored cookies for different variations.
- If you don’t have a food processor, manually crushing cookies works just as well.
- Ensure cream cheese is softened to blend smoothly with the cookie crumbs.
- Use parchment paper to prevent sticking during freezing and dipping.
- Store truffles in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
