Ingredients
Scale
Spinach Mixture
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Topping
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and facilitate easy cleanup.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped fresh spinach, softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Form Crisps: Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing each about 2 inches apart to allow room for spreading. Gently flatten each mound slightly with the back of a spoon to form crisp shapes.
- Top with Cheddar: Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese over the top of each formed crisp to add flavor and a golden finish.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the crisps for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown and the cheese becomes bubbly and slightly crisped.
- Cool & Serve: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the spinach dip cheese crisps to cool for a few minutes. This helps them firm up and makes them easier to handle. Serve warm and enjoy as a tasty appetizer or snack.
Notes
- You can omit the red pepper flakes if you prefer a milder flavor.
- For a gluten-free version, ensure all cheeses are labeled gluten-free.
- These crisps can be served with a side of ranch or marinara sauce for dipping.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat in the oven for best texture.
