Description

A refreshing and tangy Kiwi Lemonade combining the natural sweetness of ripe kiwis with the bright citrus flavor of fresh lemon juice, perfectly sweetened and chilled for a cool summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 8 mashed kiwis
  • Juice of 7 lemons

Sweetener

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

Liquids

  • 8-10 cups water

Instructions

  1. Combine Kiwis and Sugar: In a large glass pitcher, mix the mashed kiwis with the granulated sugar to start dissolving the sugar and release the fruit’s flavor.
  2. Add Lemon Juice: Pour the freshly squeezed juice of 7 lemons into the kiwi and sugar mixture, adding bright acidity and tartness.
  3. Add Water: Gradually fill the pitcher with 8 to 10 cups of water, tasting as you go to achieve the perfect balance of tanginess and sweetness according to your preference.
  4. Mix Well: Stir the mixture thoroughly until all the sugar has completely dissolved and the ingredients are well combined into a smooth lemonade.
  5. Chill: Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and serve it refreshingly cold.
  6. Serve: Pour over ice cubes in glasses and enjoy a revitalizing glass of kiwi lemonade.

Notes

  • Adjust the sugar quantity depending on your desired sweetness level or if your kiwis are very ripe.
  • Taste as you add water to control the lemonade’s strength and tanginess.
  • For a fizzy twist, replace part of the water with sparkling water before serving.
  • This lemonade can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days, but best consumed fresh.
