- Rinse the rice: Rinse jasmine rice under cold running water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch, which helps prevent the rice from becoming sticky.
- Prepare the Instant Pot: Add the rinsed rice and 1 cup of water to the Instant Pot. Optionally, add 1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1/4 teaspoon of salt for extra flavor.
- Pressure cook: Secure the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to sealing. Select the Pressure Cook or Manual mode and set the timer for 4 minutes on high pressure.
- Natural release: When the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to naturally release for 10 minutes. Afterward, carefully manually release any remaining pressure by turning the valve to venting.
