Ingredients
Scale
Meat Patties
- 1 lb ground beef (or your preferred meat)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
Pan-Fried Potatoes
- 3-4 medium potatoes (peeled and cut into cubes)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Meat Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese (if using), chopped parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Form Patties: Shape the mixture into small meatballs approximately 1-2 inches in diameter. Flatten each meatball into a small patty shape.
- Heat Oil for Patties: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the Meat Patties: Place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked through and nicely browned. Remove from skillet and keep warm on a plate.
- Prepare Potatoes: In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the peeled and cubed potatoes, then sprinkle with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook Potatoes: Stir the potatoes occasionally and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until they turn crispy and golden brown on all sides.
- Finish Potatoes: Once cooked, remove the potatoes from the skillet and set them aside.
- Serve: Arrange the mini meat patties and pan-fried potatoes on a plate. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve with a side of your favorite dipping sauce or a fresh salad.
Notes
- For a healthier option, use lean ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.
- You can substitute breadcrumbs with gluten-free crackers if needed.
- The Parmesan cheese adds a nice depth of flavor but can be omitted for a dairy-free version.
- Adjust seasoning according to your taste preference.
- Be sure to keep the cooked patties warm while frying the potatoes to maintain their juiciness.
