- Mix in oats: Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately stir in 3 cups of old-fashioned oats until all are evenly coated with the peanut butter and honey mixture.
- Press mixture into pan: Spread the oat mixture evenly into a greased 9-inch square baking pan, pressing lightly to compact the bars.
- Chill and set: Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. Then cover the pan and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour until firm enough to cut into bars.
