Ingredients
Scale
Gelatin and Pudding
- 3 ounces strawberry Jell-O Mix (1 box)
- 1 cup hot water
- ½ cup cold water
- 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding (1 box)
Dairy and Toppings
- 8 ounces whipped topping (like Cool Whip) (1 tub)
- 24 ounces fresh strawberries, hulled, halved, and sliced
- 20 ounces crushed pineapple, drained
- 10 ounces mini marshmallows (1 bag)
Instructions
- Dissolve Jell-O in hot water: In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the strawberry Jell-O mix in 1 cup of hot water. Stir until fully dissolved to create a smooth gelatin mixture.
- Add cold water and chill: Mix in ½ cup of cold water to cool the gelatin solution. Transfer the bowl to the refrigerator and chill for about 30 minutes or until the mixture is slightly thickened but not fully set.
- Mix in pudding and chill again: Once the gelatin mixture has thickened, add the instant vanilla pudding mix. Stir thoroughly until combined into a creamy texture. Chill the mixture for another 30 minutes to allow it to set further.
- Fold in whipped topping: Gently fold the whipped topping into the chilled gelatin and pudding mixture. This creates a light and fluffy base for the salad.
- Add strawberries, pineapple, and marshmallows: Incorporate the prepared fresh strawberries, drained crushed pineapple, and mini marshmallows. Fold carefully to distribute the fruit and marshmallows evenly without breaking them down.
- Chill for 2 hours: Transfer the completed salad to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours. This resting time allows flavors to meld and gives the salad a firm, fluffy consistency.
- Serve and enjoy: Spoon the Strawberry Fluff Salad into individual bowls or onto a serving platter. Serve chilled and enjoy this refreshing and sweet fruit salad dessert.
Notes
- Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor and texture.
- Make sure to drain the crushed pineapple well to prevent the salad from becoming too watery.
- For a lighter version, substitute whipped topping with whipped Greek yogurt.
- This salad is best served chilled and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Mini marshmallows add a nice chewiness but can be omitted for a less sweet option.
