- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Seasonings & Garnish
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions

Bread
- 4 large bread bowls
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the stuffed bread bowls.
- Hollow the Bread Bowls: Carefully hollow out the insides of the 4 large bread bowls, leaving about 1 inch of bread around the edges to hold the filling. Set the removed bread inside aside for another use if desired.
- Prepare the Seafood Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, cooked crab meat, chopped cooked scallops, softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, and shredded mozzarella cheese. Mix everything thoroughly until well incorporated.
- Season the Mixture: Taste the filling and add salt, pepper, and chopped green onions as desired. Mix again to ensure all seasonings and ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Fill the Bread Bowls: Spoon the seafood filling evenly into each hollowed bread bowl, gently pressing the filling down to pack it firmly into place.
- Bake: Place the filled bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake them in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the filling is hot and bubbly and the tops are nicely golden brown.
- Garnish: Remove the bread bowls from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving for an added burst of color and flavor.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve the stuffed seafood bread bowls warm, encouraging guests to scoop out the creamy seafood filling along with bits of the tender bread bowl for a delightful and hearty meal experience.
Notes
- Make sure to not hollow out the bread bowls too thinly, or they may collapse during baking.
- Use fresh seafood for the best flavor, or ensure frozen items are fully thawed before mixing.
- The inside bread removed during hollowing can be toasted and served alongside as croutons or breadcrumbs.
- Adjust the seasoning and Old Bay to your taste preferences; this seasoning mix adds a signature seafood flavor.
- This recipe can be prepared ahead by assembling and refrigerating the bowls, then baking just before serving.
